The Boston African American Historic Site honors the history of mid 18th century African Americans who were leaders in the Abolition Movement, the Underground Railroad, and the Civil War to free enslaved African Americans.

The Boston African American Historic Site is somewhat dog friendly, in that dogs are allowed along the streets/trail of sites while on a leash no longer than 6'. Dogs are not allowed in any buildings.
