Cedar Breaks, at over 10,000 feet of elevation, overlooks a 2500 foot deep natural amphitheater. The park encompasses forests of bristlecone pines and meadows of wildflowers.

Cedar Breaks National Monument is somewhat dog friendly. Dogs are only allowed on one paved trail, and along paved roads. Dogs are not allowed on most trails, and not allowed inside any buildings.

Trail Policy

Dogs are only allowed on trhe paved Sunset Trail (2 miles round-trip) while on a leash no longer than 6'. They are not allowed on any other trails.

Road Policy

Dogs are allowed along paved roads and overlooks while on a leash no longer than 6'.
