Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, near Atlanta, Georgia, offers a number of recreational activities such as kayaking/canoeing/boating, cycling, hiking, and fishing.
Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is dog friendly, and dogs are allowed on trails and in the water while on a leash no longer than 6'. (Dogs are required to be on a leash even in the water.)
Dogs are allowed on trails while on a leash no longer than 6'. One popular trail is the Cochran Shoals Fitness Loop, which is 3.1 miles long.
