Colorado National Monument preserves some great landscapes of the US West, including monoliths, canyons, and plateaus. There are areas of sheer cliffs along roadways in places here. Bighorn sheep and eagles can also be found in this park.

Colorado National Monument is somewhat dog friendly, but activities for dogs here are limited, depending on what you want to do. Dogs are not allowed on trails, but are allowed in the developed campground and along roads. Temperatures can rise quickly here, so bring plenty of water and avoid leaving your dog unattended in a vehicle.
