Coronado National Memorial explores the history of the Coronado Expedition where 339 European soliders and hundreds of Aztec allies journeyed through nearby deserts and mountains. The park offers hiking, biking, caving, picnicking, and driving touring.

Coronado National Memorial is somewhat dog friendly. Dogs are allowed on a few trails, and along roads. Please do not leave dogs unattended in vehicles.

Trail Policy

Dogs are allowed on the following trails while on a leash no longer than 6':

  • Crest Trail - 4 miles round trip (or 5.3 miles one way to Miller Peak)
  • Nature Walk

Dogs are not allowed on any other trails.

Road Policy

Dogs are allowed along roads and parking lots while on a leash no longer than 6'.
