Curecanti National Recreation Area is Dog Friendly
Curecanti National Recreation Area encompasses three reservoirs created out of the Gunnison River. The highlights of the area are water recreation activities such as boating, canoeing, and kayaking, as well as great salmon and trout fishing. However, the Recreation Area also offers hiking, boating, camping, and bird-watching opportunities.
Curecanti National Recreation Area is dog friendly, and dogs are allowed throughout most areas, including trails, campgrounds, and on the water. Dogs are not allowed on the Morrow Point Boat Tour or in any buildings.
Dogs are allowed on all trails while on a leash no longer than 6'.
There are a number of campgrounds at Curecanti National Recreation Area and dogs are allowed at them while on a leash. You can get a list of campgrounds on the National Park Service site.
