Gulf Islands National Seashore encompasses barrier islands in Mississippi and Florida, and includes beautiful gulf water, white sand beaches, and historic forts.

Gulf Islands National Seashore is somewhat dog friendly, and dogs are allowed on trails and at the campgrounds while on leashes no longer than 6'. However, dogs can't go on the beaches, on fishing piers, or in water less than 5'.

Campground Policy

Dogs are allowed at campgrounds while on a leash no longer than 6' or tied.

Beach Policy

Dogs are not allowed on beaches, and not allowed in water less than 5'.

Road Policy

Dogs are allowed along roads while on a leash no longer than 6'.
