Lake Roosevelt is located in the upper Columbia River, and was created by the Grand Coulee Dam. The lake and shoreline provide opportunities for swimming, boating, hiking, camping, and fishing.

Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is dog friendly. Dogs are allowed in most areas such as on trails and campgrounds while on a leash. However, dogs are not allowed at picnic areas, designated swimming areas, or inside buildings.

Dogs are allowed on trails while on a leash no longer than 6'.

Campground Policy

Dogs are allowed in campgrounds while on a leash.

Beach Policy

Dogs are not allowed at designated swimming beaches, but are allowed elsewhere.
