Lava Beds National Monument is Somewhat Dog Friendly
Lava Beds National Monument encompasses a rough volcanic landscape created by eruptions of the Medicine Lake shield volcano. There are more than 800 caves, Native American petroglyphs, historic battlefields in the high desert here.
Lava Beds National Monument is somewhat friendly, but pretty limited if you bring a dog. Dogs are not allowed on trails, in caves, or in buildings. Dogs are allowed in developed areas, along developed roads, and in the campground while on a leash.
