Monocacy Dog Policy
Monocacy National Battlefield is Dog Friendly
Union soldiers fought Confederate forces here in 1864 during the American Civil War, and thwarted Confederate plans to eventually capture Washington, D.C.
Monocacy National Battlefield is fairly dog friendly. Dogs are allowed on trails and outside areas while on a leash. However, dogs are not allowed in buildings, and may not be left unattended while visitors are inside buildings. Note that there are no trash cans in the park, so you must take bagged dog waste out in your vehicle with you.
