Pipestone Dog Policy

Pipestone National Monument is Dog Friendly

Trails
Dogs Allowed
with 6' Leash []

Native Americans quarried red pipestone at this site for many years. The pipes made out of the stones are considered sacred and used for prayers.

Pipestone National Monument is dog friendly. Dogs are not allowed inside buildings, so you'll miss some of the exhibitions and demonstrations if you bring a dog. However, dogs are allowed outside along trails, including the Circle Trail that is pretty scenic, and allows you to see the quarries.
