Sunset Crater Volcano Dog Policy

Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument is Somewhat Dog Friendly

Trails
Dogs Limited
[]

The Sunset Crater Volcano erupted in around 1085 and altered the landscape and the people in the area. Today a crater remains, and visitors can take in scenic views, hike, and also view the night sky.

Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument is somewhat dog friendly, as you can hike a very short trail and take in some of the scenic views. If you bring a dog, you won't be able to enjoy most of the trails, however. Dogs are allowed at the nearby National Forest.
