Ulysses S. Grant Dog Policy

Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site is Somewhat Dog Friendly

Ulysses S. Grant and his wife lived here before the American Civil War along with enslaved African Americans. The site offers both guided and self-guided tours through the home and grounds.

Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site is somewhat dog friendly. Dogs are allowed outside on the grounds while on a leash, but they're not allowed inside buildings. So you can see a lot of the site with a dog, but you won't be able to experience the museum unless you have someone to watch your dog while you go in.
