Whitman Mission National Historic Site preserves the history of the 1847 attack on the Whitmans, and explores the circumstances around this tragic event.

Whitman Mission National Historic Site is somewhat dog friendly. Dogs are allowed on trails and at outdoor areas while on a leash. However, dogs are not allowed inside buildings, including the mission, so you will miss some of the main attractions here if you bring a dog and don't have someone to watch him or her. Dogs cannot be left unattended.
